This year I decided to go with a rainbow theme for my office. I am an Elementary School Counselor for K-2nd grade. You can imagine the students' smiles when they enter my office. I can bring a student in who is crying and suddenly they cannot believe their eyes. It all started with a fabulous rainbow bar cart I purchased during the summer. The rest is history.

This tent is perfect for students who need a little time alone to regulate their own emotions. I placed a soft rug inside the tent along with textured pillows. Sometimes I will turn off the lights and play soft music on the computer. Students know that I am a safe adult at school that does not give out consequences even if they've done something wrong. My role as a school counselor is to always help and not make the situation worse.
My goal was for students who used the tent would look up and see stars. I hoped this would remind them of being outdoors in a real tent.
Paper Lanterns are a great way to light up any room or party. Make sure you get permission from the Fire Marshal to hang things from the ceiling. You do not want to waste time and effort putting these together only to be told to take them down. I love adding color to any classroom no matter the grade level you counsel or teach.

The LED lights are a great way to add fun to any bulletin or whiteboard. I turn them on every day before my breakfast duty. I fell in love with them the moment I turned the lights on. You can also sync music to the LED Lights. My students love to have them on during a read-aloud video on YouTube. I use them for small groups, lunch bunches, and individual sessions.
